When young people reach adolescence and move on into their early twenties, they begin to think about finding a lifetime partner with whom they can share their life. In some cultures, they go through a courting or dating period in which young people get to know one another so that they can make a wise choice. In other cultures, the parents make the choice of a lifetime partner for their children. In either case, the decision should be carefully considered so that the young couple can have a strong foundation built on their faith in God.
In this study we will look at one Bible character who went through this time and see how he handled this all-important decision. We will also look at some other passages that will help us to understand how God expects us to behave as we navigate this sometimes difficult and confusing time.
