As we learned in section 5.3, sexual sin will prohibit a person from entering the kingdom of God. Satan would have us believe that sexual contacts outside of marriage are the most pleasurable. Researchers who are not Christians have made extensive studies about marriage happiness. They concluded that the very best sex, the most enjoyable sex, is between a husband and his wife who love one another. When Paul wrote about all the sexual sins that would keep us out of heaven, he said, “Do not be deceived” (1 Corinthians 6:9). The world is deceiving. Satan desires our downfall and unhappiness. We can be like the Corinthians who shook off those sexual sins and were washed and cleansed and inherited the kingdom of God.
Your sex life can be great, fantastic! Following God’s directions is always the best. Because He created our bodies, He knows what is best for us. When we follow His rules, we will find the greatest joys in our sexual lives.
