No one can compare with God, and nothing can compare with His awesome power. This is the kind of power Jesus used to prove Himself to be the Son of God. He was “attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through Him” (Acts 2:22).

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name (John 20:30-31).

[Jesus] was declared to be the Son of God in power… by His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 1:4).

In Moses’ time, the tenth plague was death—the death of every Egyptian firstborn (Exodus 12:29). Only God could bring about so many specific deaths simultaneously. Likewise, only God can give life… and give life again, after death. Jesus used this unique power to raise the dead during His time of service on earth (Luke 7:15, 22; 8:55; John 5:21; 11:44). Then He used it on Himself, raising His own corpse from death by God’s power (John 2:19; 10:17-18; 20:1-31; Acts 2:24). The resurrection of Jesus was the ultimate “sign” that proved the divine nature of Jesus (Matthew 12:39-40; Acts 1:3; Romans 1:4).
