Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28.16-20
Jesus Christ says here that he has all authority in heaven and on earth. He will rule until all of his enemies have been defeated through spiritual conversion and the spreading of the kingdom of God. His way is one of peace, love and certainty. His way is that of holiness, righteousness and faith. Jesus will come to destroy death by raising all the dead, and he will cause all powers and authorities to submit to the will of God.
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. Apostle Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 15.25-26
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. Apostle Paul’s Letter to the Colossians 2.9-10
