Being alone can be torturous. But we are not alone.

When people like us who have encountered and followed Jesus connect with one another, the power is real. They find they need each other, and that God is active in this new kind of family whatever problems it may have.

The Bible guides us as to how to be a family of God. God Himself seeks our unity and love as His family. We can be one in our faith and love of Jesus if we look to the Good News.

Memory Verses

1) Hebrews 10:24-25 – And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

2) Romans 12:4-5 – For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

3) Colossians 3:15 – And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

4) Galatians 3:26-27 – You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

5) John 13:34-35 – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

PRAYER:

Father of the family of faith, we see the love you show the world, and we want to make that real in our lives.

Bring us together so that all people can know Who You are. Make us a healthy and loving family.
