(33 A.D. until now)

The Christian Era, just like the previous eras in history, begins with a covenant being offered by God to humanity. Jesus offers His New Covenant to all who would be faithful children to God the Father.

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant… (2 Corinthians 3:4–6).

Jesus paid the price for this New Covenant that God is offering to all nations. The price was the blood of Jesus. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, our sins are paid for in full. Thus, in His New Covenant, there is no more need for the sacrifice of animals, which were fundamental to the Old Covenant with Moses. Jesus’ gift of His life on the cross allows God the Father to offer forgiveness and salvation to all people. He offers this as a free gift—a gift known as grace. But we must choose to accept this gift by faith and keep the New Covenant faithfully.
