We pray that God will bless you with the faith and wisdom that these prophets had in the days of Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. We pray that the faith of Abraham and his sons, who lived over 4,000 years ago, will fill your heart with trust for the one true God. God can work in your life, too.

THE BIBLE IS THE TRUE RECORD
Without the stories of the Bible, we have little or no knowledge of these great prophets. We would not know how God kept the line of the family of Abraham that came through Isaac. We are very thankful to God that he shows these things to us in the Bible. This shows that God is still faithful to his promises. It also shows that we should study the Bible and learn of these great facts in the history of the world.

Sometimes, people do not like the way the Bible even tells about the weaknesses of the prophets. For example, we read of Abraham’s fear and lies in Genesis chapters 12 and 20. Some people think it is disrespectful to say such things of prophets. However, the Bible is very clear that only the truth is told. The record of some sins in the lives of the prophets should not make us sad. Instead, it shows that God was working with real people who had real weaknesses and strengths, just like us. It is not disrespectful to the prophet, but a true story. It shows that God tells us everything important. These are not stories made up by the prophets themselves to help them look good and holy.

The Bible is the true collection of the holy writings of the prophets of God. As we read earlier, the real message from God is:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 3.16-17
