What is God’s plan for me? How do I fit into His design for the family and for the church?
Each believer has questions like these. Each of us is born either female or male. We have no choice in that birth. We have no choice about the gender that impacts life in many ways including physical features, feelings, and opportunities. Social expectations change from society to society, from culture to culture, and from time to time. But the Christian believes in the Creator whose sovereignty and character never change. He is the God with no shadow.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17).
He knows His purpose in creating humanity. More specifically, He knows His plan for each individual—for me and for you. What does He reveal for us in His Word? This course seeks to survey what the Bible has to say about roles. In a world with ever-changing norms, it seeks divine standards that endure from culture to culture and from age to age. It seeks a degree of certainty that allows us to find our way forward and to fulfill our respective roles.
