The apostles of Jesus Christ preached the message that Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth. They taught that he brings truth and new life to us all. God blessed the apostles’ teaching both in Palestine and other countries, and many believed in the name of Jesus Christ.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts of the Apostles 2:47
The apostles many people in many places come to faith in Jesus, and they wrote letters to guide them in trusting and following Jesus Christ. These letters are part of the Holy Bible in the New Testament portion, and make up part of the Gospel given by Jesus Christ.
From these groups of believers almost 2000 years ago the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, the resurrected Lord, has gone out into all the world. The faith and friendship of Jesus Christ holds these believers together as they pray and worship in the way of Almighty God. We will say more about this in our next lessons.
