Jesus had a beautiful way of making himself clear. We will close this lesson by looking at some of the statements he made about himself and the importance of following his teachings.
“I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.” John 6.47-48
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” John 7.37-38
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8.12
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14.6
Jesus clearly believed the things he said about himself, and this cost him his life. However, he did this to teach us who God is and how we should live.
