Jesus Christ was the greatest prophet who ever lived, not only because of his holy life, but also because of his teachings. Jesus showed God’s love by his acts of healing and compassion, especially to the weak and poor. He also taught his followers the way of God in truth and light. The prophet John the Baptizer (Yahaya) said this about Jesus:
John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’” From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1.15-17
It is important, then, for us to look at some examples of the great teaching of Jesus Christ. His teachings, found in the Gospel books of the Holy Bible, are at the heart of the path of righteousness.
