Love and truth belong together (2 John 1:3; 3 John 1:1).
- Love … does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:4, 6).
- Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ (Ephesians 4:15).
- Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart (1 Peter 1:22 cf. 1 John 3:18).
- Many are lost eternally because they refuse to “love the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11). Love and truth never shy away from each other.
