We don’t often associate love with discipline. Why are we sometimes disciplined by God? God loves us enough that He takes the time to discipline us so that we obey Him. In the same way parents take the necessary time to consistently teach and discipline their children so that they learn to obey the rules of their homes. Good discipline when children are small will implant in their hearts the desire to obey the rules of school, government, and God. Discipline done in love is the most effective way to cause positive change.
