It is not always easy to believe in Jesus Christ. Nor is it easy to face the difficulties of a decision to believe. Jesus knows your problems, your fears and your trials. He will be with you, and he will protect you. He will see you through the difficult times and he will welcome you to his heavenly home at the end of your life. There is no price too great to pay to have the life of your soul. Even if you are called to give your life, he has promised us a greater life.
“Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Words of Jesus Christ to the church in Smyrna, Revelation 2.10
“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” Words of Jesus, Matthew 10.32-33
Peter said to him, “We have left everything to follow you!” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.” Mark 10.28-30
