We pray that God will give you understanding and a desire to learn more about the messages he gave his prophets. We pray that you will see how deep God’s love is for all of us—the love he has shown for thousands of years to people who followed him. May the Holy Lord grant you blessings and mercy. May God give you a heart that is open to the greatest of prophets God promised to send.
THE LINE OF PROPHECY
The Bible shows us the history of the prophets. We have seen how the prophets of God were in the family line of Abraham through his sons Isaac and Jacob (Ishaq and Yakub). The Qur’an also confirms this line of prophecy through these sons of Abraham (Al-Ankabut, Sura 29.26, says that prophecy and Scriptures were given to Ishaq and Yakub). The Bible clearly says that Ishmael (Ismail), son of Abraham, was blessed by the Lord. But the Bible also clearly says that the line of prophecy was through Isaac (Genesis 17). God is still working in the world to fulfill his promises made through his prophets. His promises of judgment and mercy are still true, and they are for each of us. God blesses those who read and meditate on the prophetic messages given to the Israelite prophets as recorded in the Bible.
