We pray that God will bless you with wisdom as you think on the fall of man through sin. We pray that God will help you to see the problem of sin and its evil power. We also pray that you may also see what our merciful God has done to remove the curse of sin from the world.

GOD SPEAKS THROUGH HIS PROPHETS
Through the centuries, God spoke his message through his prophets in ways needed for God’s people at that time. God chose certain men, and at times women, to speak to his people and guide them in the paths of righteousness. He also showed things that he wanted them to write down and share with the whole world. What e see in the Bible is the stories of God working thorough his prophets. Messages were written down one after the other to give fuller meaning and deeper understanding of the Will of God. This is why it is important to take time to understand God’s message in the order it was written. We cannot look at every part of the Bible in this study course, but we want to help you see how the Bible speaks God’s Word.

Almighty God said:

Listen to my words: When a prophet of the LORD is among you, I reveal myself to him in visions; I speak to him in dreams. But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles… Numbers 12.6-8, Book 4 of the Torah

From this we see that God spoke to prophets in dreams and visions. Sometimes, as in the case of great prophets like Moses, God spoke directly to the prophet. God did this with prophets like Adam, Noah (Nuh), Abraham (Ibrahim), Isaac (Ishaq), Jacob (Yaqub), Joseph (Yusuf), Deborah, Joshua, Job (Ayub), David (Daud) and Solomon (Suleiman).

God gave messages by “inspiration” (This means messages to the prophets that they could understand; the word “inspiration” means “breathed by God”). We can have confidence that he has kept that message safe for all people to read. Here are some other special statements in the Bible about this inspiration:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 3.16-17

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. Prophet and Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 1.20-21

This is why we cannot change the Word of God. The Word of God cannot fail in its work or in its purpose. Believers will respect the Word of God and read it with faith. We should be willing to let God speak to us through his Word. The Lord said to Isaiah the Prophet:

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55.11

Also, Jesus the Messiah (Isa Al-Masih) said:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24.35

It is our prayer that God will bless you with understanding in the reading of His Words. His words will live on after we are gone whether we believe them or not. Believing God’s Word will bring us the blessings he has promised.
