There is some confusion on the role of the wife in marriage these days with modern views and feminism affecting cultures all over the world. Even though cultures are constantly changing, and they look very different in different parts of the world, the Bible is One, and never changes. Therefore, we need to look at what the Bible has to say about these roles.
As we look at the scriptures, we need to remember that they were written in specific cultural settings with the customs of those cultures in mind. And we also need to remember that the application of the principles taught in the scriptures may look a bit different in different parts of the world. However, we must always keep God’s Word in mind, no matter what our culture dictates, and adjust our cultural practices to reflect His Will.
