Let’s Sum Up
God promised to send His Light into the world. God fulfilled that promise, making sure that all could understand that Light. He lived and taught pure truth. He proved His power to overcome dark forces. He shone in heavenly beauty. If we wish to walk safely by God’s light, then we must listen to Jesus. Jesus keeps His promise to each of us:
“Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
Memory Verses
1) John 1:9, 14 – The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world… We have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
2) Hebrews 4:15 – For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
3) 1 John 5:4-5 – And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
4) Ephesians 6:10, 16 – Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might… In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.

OUR PRAYER: God of glory, you alone can say, “Let there be light.” You promised to send your Light into the world. You kept that promise. He has brightened our world and our hearts. Help us not to hide from your Light. Shine on us and drive away our darkness…
